HS Solid Fuels Limited is the data controller for personal information processed through www.hsfuels.co.uk, except where a third-party provider acts as an independent controller for its own service.

Information we collect

• name, email address, telephone number and account details;
• billing and delivery addresses and postcode;
• order, invoice, payment-status, delivery and returns information;
• messages, enquiries and customer-service correspondence;
• technical information such as IP address, device/browser data and security logs;
• cookie and analytics information where applicable and permitted.

We do not need your date of birth or gender for ordinary website orders unless a particular service lawfully requires it.

Why we use your information

• Contract: to process orders, take payment, arrange delivery, provide customer service and deal with returns or warranty issues.

Online payment options may include PayPal and Klarna. These providers process payment-related information under their own privacy terms. Direct bank-transfer payments are handled through the banking system. HS Solid Fuels does not store the complete card number or card security code entered into a third-party payment provider’s payment interface.

International processing

Some service providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where required, appropriate legal safeguards are used for international transfers.

How long we keep information

We keep personal information only for as long as needed for the purpose for which it was collected and to meet legal, accounting, tax, fraud-prevention and dispute-resolution requirements. Order, invoice and tax records are normally retained for at least the period required by HMRC, which is generally six years for relevant company/VAT records. Other information may be deleted sooner when it is no longer needed.
